we are at or very near the 6000 year mark of people's existence

I do suppose this depends on your definition of "people", but I would bet that you would be hard pressed to come up with any definition that would separate hominids of the last 6,000 years with those from 60,000 years back and then some. For that matter, at 600,000 we clearly had hominids that were enough different than any other primate that one would be hard put to think of them as anything but close ancestors. And, in terms of a unique separate "human" line, it sure looks like 2-3X that, if not 10X.

Those who dismiss it with a closed mind risk a great deal

I don't want to start an argument with a "Bible Thumper", particularly on this thread, which is supposed to be about nothing. So go your own way and leave us to our nonsense here.

there are people in this world who do not believe in the Bible. To some of them, the "6000 year mark" is not relevant, because their civilization goes beyond 6000 years.

now, can u try and post something about nothing ?
