Sammon has neatly gathered all the Ratherisms of that night, as well as the foolish and reckless ruminations of all the other talking heads. The most reckless of all were the repeated announcements that the polls in Florida had closed, when in fact they had not. I was surprised at Jeff Greenfield, I thought he had more sense.

I can't cite them, because like you, I am too cheap to buy the book. I have returned it to the person I borrowed it from.

I've heard that Greenfield was at the Harvard Lampoon with PJ O'Rourke. Any idea if that's true?
