Hi Jay

>>Where are you?<< Back to where $0.03/min long distance is not unheard of... 423 posts and 127 different topics later.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch (also currently "a warm place, with cool drinks, pretties, and casual attire rule") no financial collapse, and moreover a diminishing view that one is creeping upon us in the very near term.

Hmmm...Because with my toes in the sand and bull-steak prions gnawing little holes in otherwise rational thought processes, it came to me in a flash that there will be no financial collapse in 2001. Or 2002 for that matter.

Why not? Because of the golden rule: he who has the gold makes the rules.

Who has the gold? The central banks (sweepingly inclusive of the cast of characters being rounded up by CB and gao on CFZ). Who stands to lose in a collapse? Same. Presto. One rule, coming up. No collapse.

They will merely feed the bulls. To each other if need be. Of course this will lead to the financial equivalent of BSE, which we now know is treatable by sending vast herds of bulls up in flames. But not all at once. Just one herd at a time.

Meanwhile, the others will grow well marbled before they lose their marbles and all except the gold-gobbling vegans can enjoy a good feast.

So... my strategy for dealing with the situation? Eat a well balanced diet from all of the major food groups. And leave room for desert. I hear that the flambe is to die for.

John
