Again, the Republic of China was never toppled, so therefore, Taiwan (and all of China for that matter, using your textbook logic) is not legitimately Red China. Since the ROC was in existence prior to the PROC, your argument is invalid (surprise, surprise). Can you pour me one? They must be pretty darn strong! ~SB~

The Taiwanese do not consider themselves subject to Red China. Nor should we. If the Chicoms attempt to take Taiwan, we should turn them into glowing dust.

Considering that the Nationalists were the legit government of China prior to being chased to Taiwan by the Communists under Mao, I would say that China is rather the sovereign territory of the Republic of China, ie Taiwan... Try again. Derek

Dear Rich4eagle: WOW, you went way back to find that post!! Well, the thing is we cant LISTEN IN on conversations from spy satellites and thats basically what that plane was doing, being 70 miles OFFSHORE in INTERNATIONAL WATERS it was not taking any pictures. Now, if we can't listen in and find out what titillating thing is going on, what fun is that? As to Taiwan, you take an unusual position for an American, are you from the USA, I dont see your location in your profile. I note that you are heavily invested in areas that your portfolio would likely suffer extreme damage if China ever attacks Taiwan. You might want to think about that. JDN
