I totally agree, but I have never found a single person who can "prove" anything in the Bible to be wrong or in error. Comparing theories of investing to an inspired and God-driven passing down of God's thoughts to humans is not in the same ballpark. Some espouse contradictions, but none can be proven. Evolution is so full of holes and assumptions that it hardly deserves comment. That intelligent people can actually buy that humans today descended from ooze to apes to people is completely insane. If you can't look at the total order of the universe and all life on Earth, and that does not suggest a superior being creating vs. a total bang of chance, then there is no hope. I stand by that pride, and only pride is what gets in the way of people accepting what is written in the Bible. It's too simple and doesn't make enough "scientific" sense for most. Humans want to be like God so they can never bend their will. From a human standpoint, I always try to play the odds. You roll your dice, and I'll roll mine. If you can offer me a better alternative for something eternal after this life than a God that created and set the rules, then I will gladly look into it. If all you offer is prideful arrogance and 80 years on earth at best, then I say, forget it. You need to study how much "evidence" exist that George Washington was real vs. that Jesus was a man who taught, was put to death, and then later was alive again. I assume you have not done this, or you would not be so quick to dismiss the Bible as just another book of stories.

I remain,
