Doesn't mean it was a good time to be buying stocks.

My comments had absolutely nothing to do about buying stocks. I was commenting on a trend that I am seeing with people I know, who are now actively using the Internet. Those who are using the Internet want a high speed connection, and they realize the positive reasons for high speed access, versus dial in access.

The Internet is changing the way people are doing everyday tasks. Banking on line, checking traffic reports before deciding on a commute route, getting driving directions, sending emails and Faxes, real time chat, voice chat, instant messaging, phone calls made over the Internet, posting photos and sending photos to be printed online, establishing a family photo web album, tracking a portfolio, reading newspapers on line, placing buy and sell orders for specific securities, researching various companies, researching sites for travel plans, booking rental cars online, booking airplane tickets, sending "greetings cards" online, wedding gifts, baby gifts....and the list just goes on and on. All of these things can be accomplished more easily IMO with high speed access.

Buying stock in a specific company that you feel will benefit from this change is purely an individual decision. This goes back to the entire thought of risk and reward, and your own personal situation.....as well as your own diversified investments.
