Except for energy stocks, especially some possible takeover targets, and MAGS (the Israeli perimeter-security company), I am short, though not any individual stocks. I have profitably shorted and covered QQQ several times and have a big position in DJX puts, and simply continue to hold my position in Prudent Bear. If my brokerage handled it, I would change to the Pro=Funds Ultra Short OTC.

Would you be willing to name some of these companies that are headed for bankruptcy?

I'm sure you are right about the reason for the Fed's inflating the money supply. But as we know from the early 1970s, it's possible to have a recession and inflation all at once.

I wonder what in the world will happen when this huge tax refund hits, on top of the monetary easing.
