eichler: Well I will say the majority has told me that I should remove Haim's posting exclusion including some of my strongest supporters on SI. As I no longer post on SI regularly nor MDD, I will yield to the majority view. The majority being of those that took the time to communicate with me.

However, if this topic of conversation (politics/religion) is to be allowed on MDD, one that potentially could do more damage to this thread than any other topic, then what is off limits?

For the most part, we post anonymously on the MDD thread. The relationships and respect that exist on this thread is based on mutual efforts to help one another do better in the market and has developed slowly over time. It has always been my concern that allowing political and religious discussions on MDD would be “the” vehicle that could breakdown the hard earned mutual respect and online friendships established on MDD over time on this thread in short order. I hope I am wrong!

I guess time will tell...

Regards,
LG

If I were to "vote", then I would vote for allowing occasional forays into off-topic land. For the most part, the thread does a great job of keeping itself on topic. I think Haim has been a valuable contributor on this thread for longer than I know....and I for one don't mind at all reading his opinions of which he very strongly believes and of which he is highly educated in regards to.>>>

LG, i'd like to place a ditto on eichler's statement, i think moderation is OK for people who's sole purpose in life is to taunt and disrupt (and you people know who you are), but in Haim's case i think you should be more tolerant of his occasional discussions of politics and the middle east.
