Intel supplies a CPU and a 2-way mobo. How much do you think they get for the combo when the server sells for $599?

Paul, are your pension checks coming late? Here's some embarrassing info about Intel's huge Accounts Payable:
...........................................................AMD......Intel
Cash balance:..................................1,596.....10,058
Q1 operating expenses....................1,022.......5,375
Accounts payable:..............................377........5,398
AP, % of 3m operating expenses:......37%......100%

Intel cash balance, if it
paid it's bills like AMD does...........................6,643

AMD cash balance, if it paid
it's bills like Intel does (not)............2,245

Now, I'm not recommending that AMD stop paying it's bills like Intel has, with OVER an entire quarter's worth of operating expenses UNPAID, but if Q2 is the low quarter in this cycle, AMD should be able to PAY CASH for a new fab if major expenses start in a year.

Intel may HAVE to pay cash UP FRONT, if they keep SHIRKING their bills.
