"The important thing is what is forbidden must at all times be done." I suppose so. That must be why for every forbidden thing a consequence is established. What happens to you if you learn a Masonic secret by this infiltration? They make a bouncer stand by the door during meetings. Egyptians have all kinds of fears about what Masons can do and have done through their history. In the USA I think it is mainly just a civic organization. Although, I'd bet there was some commonality of membership in the KKK a century ago.
