Re AMSC: Syndicated columnist out of Austin last week mentioned that 10% of all power generated is lost because of inefficient transmission lines. Said superconductivity seems to be doable, a promising technology. The point was that maybe we wouldn't have to build hundreds of new power plants if we were more efficient.
I noticed AMSC has a market cap of about a half billion.
Worth noting, IMO.
