I grew up Jewish. I learned to accept that most people weren't, and that that would be reflected in numerous ways throughout the culture. I am not sure what principle you are adducing........

I'm trying to stand up for a principle. Actually, there are easily documented instances of much worse discrimination, legal, than against atheists. Start with: people with serious body oder. Obese people. Short people. Polygamists. The list goes on and on. I understand your not wanting to be slighted, butwe're going to take prejudices in the order of their frequency and impact on peoples' lives, you'll have to wait a while until we get to atheists.
