My knowledge here is spotty at best.

High end clothiers and specialty stores, most likely, yes. Retail sales help at most discount stores, no. I understand that one chain of consumer electronic stores has dropped commission upped wage, but can't remember which one.

No doubt someone on the thread has the real skinny on how retail sales people are paid.
