The chip BtB, which covered North American companies, was discontinued somewhere around the mid-nineties. It was replaced by the Global Billings Report, which contains no bookings information. As a reason for the change, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) said that the old book to bill report tended to promote volatility in stock prices. Personally I never thought that explanation made much sense.
