Have you ever coached a team of 12 year olds where there is this one kid who wants to prove to everyone how much better he or she is then anyone else?

Typically, it will start with some small argument between two of the players, "No Joan, I can kick the ball further, see!!". "That's not true, I kicked it further last week"! Then it will end without a clear resolution one way or another.

But, instead of letting it die, the insecure kid, desperate for attention and acknowledgement, will go from one player to another and beg each players to grant his/her point of view as being the correct one.

The other kids will listen to some of it with a sensitive ear as if they care, then at some point will want to move on so they say, "Yeah, sure, you're right", in an effort to end their harassment. In other words, what they're really saying beneath the words is "big whoop, who really cares anyway, move on and let's play ball...."

Remind you of anyone E? LOL!
