And the opportunity to run a decent business... I cannot fathom the French Socialists, for example, who seem heedless of the detrimental effects of taxes on business. The business climate in France is such that many French are setting up shop across the channel merely to escape escalating taxes. Europe has quite a lot to offer in terms luxury, good food, decent wines and, of course, art and history. But it cannot compete with America in terms of basic standard-of-living for the average person. Americans have more space and generally more freedom, despite Democrats.
