I'm a bit old fashioned in that I like words to "mean what they say".
Could someone tell me how on earth the term "anti-semitic" became
synonomous with "anti-Jewish" in western usage ? If you feel that
someone is anti-Jewish, why not just say that ? Or is that politically incorrect ?

It seems that everybody involved in the current mess in the Middle East
could be properly termed a "Semite", for the simple reason that they
speak a language of semitic origin.
