Thanks, I caught it and was editing as you were posting.

What doesn't make sense? The common smart ass comment from gun clubs makes sense even if you don't agree with it. "Guns don't kill people, people kill people." Or something like that. I thought it was an obvious play on that familiar slogun.

Religions may be viewed as a guide (map) for living. You don't like religions and have witnessed some bad uses like people who use Religions to reak havoc and distruction or at a minumum to oppress those weaker than them.

I was just trying to make a tired point that it is an individual thing. I don't see anything bad in the premise but just like the invention of the gun which could be used for survival, protection, and to defend the weak; religion can be abused toward destructive ends. It is the responsibility of the individual to choose.
