I believe it is possible the Mitchell report was used as a a political ploy by the Bush administration to show they were doing something about the ME without really doing anything, enabling them to concentrate on their Tax cut and other "mandates".

It did buy them time, and as expected, nothing will come from it. Now they have to deal with a situation that has escalated while they dealt with their priorities.

Palestinian stonethrowers seriously wound baby

Palestinian stonethrowers seriously wounded a six-month-old baby traveling in a vehicle near Shilo in Samaria a short while ago.

The baby lost consciousness and is being taken to a hospital in Jerusalem.

Elsewhere, Palestinian terrorists shot and moderately wounded an Israeli motorist near Jit junction, west of Nablus, Army Radio reported.
