News today from two firms on my old December list:

Dundee Bancorp Inc. (DBC.A - TSE) announced today that it has acquired
1,628,700 common shares of Repadre Capital Corporation ("Repadre") at $3.00
per share, in a private transaction, which represents an approximate 5.6%
interest in Repadre. Dundee Bancorp now holds an aggregate of 6,507,200 common
shares of Repadre, representing an approximate 22.5% interest.

Dundee Bancorp is another firm I think could/should go the "mining investment bank" route. Goodmans have has past sucess, and could use Dundee Precious Metals as the vehicle. They were going to merge with Hope Bay Gold, but ended up staying a closed end mutual fund (discount is still too high)

BTW, there are about twice as many firms I like than were on the list. I figured most knew about the larger names, and some of the smaller lower price ones might be unsuitable for the average investor.
