eichler: Actually I have a PowerMac and another PC for non investment use in my office as well. All or networked together and the third PC has all the same software as do the first two. So, I do have a second backup if absolutely necessary...<g>

It is imperative, if you are investing more than a few thousand dollars to have backup systems. If just one trade goes the wrong way while you are blind, where your system goes down during the trade (Computer, DSL ISP, Dialup ISP, Loss of Power or Data Service), that one loss can cost you more than all the computers and equipment combined. Trust me, I learned the HARD WAY.

By the way, ALWAYS have a backup intraday data service as well. For now I use WOW.
