I remember now. Do I have to re-read it all, though? I'm involved elsewhere, and a troubled JLA is stirring the pot. The bouillon cube of my position is that it's not only about sex, it's about love. I always think of it personally, actually. Like, what if someone, the state or somebody, said that my husband and I were bad to love each other? Said it in words or in other ways. What a monstrous thought. And we have no choice in the matter. I told a friend before I knew his name that i'd met the man i wanted to spend my life with. What if I'd been gay and that had happened to me? And the state, or others, said we were bad....

One of these days I'll compile a list of positions for which i'm anathema to liberals. You can categorize me any way you want, according to how you define the categories.

abusing Scripture?
You know, the last time I checked the laws and the Constitution, I was not required to accord it any respect, any more than I am any other book. It is as subject to questioning and attack as any other document. Thie is not 17th century Plymouth Colony.

If you have a real problem with that, there are still theocracies around (Iran, Saudi Arabia), although I don't know of any surviving Christian theocracies.
