Market may have one more strong day [maybe not] ahead of it before we start turning lower. Profit taking allowed me to close some shorts for fractional gains near close. 90% cash 10% short.

BRCM top 3 customers constitute 54% of their revs
- COMS 22%, MOT 20%, CSCO 12%
Does anyone see any immediate improvement in CSCO, COMS and MOT?
Despite the fundamental facts, BRCM was up 4 points today

Over the last 5 days these warnings were issued:

RESEARCH ALERT-Goldman cuts Broadcom EPS outlook
NEW YORK, June 4 (Reuters) - Goldman Sachs said on Monday that it lowered the outlook for Broadcom Corp.'s (NasdaqNM:BRCM - news) 2001 and 2002 results, citing inventory corrections in the enterprise and cable markets.

Analyst Nathaniel Cohn said in a research note that Broadcom's 2001 loss per share estimate was worsened to 20 cents from four cents and that 2002 earnings per share should be 20 cents, not 30 cents.

SG Cowen on MOT and BRCM : In intraday Tech Radar comment, SG Cowen reveals that recent channel checks suggest that Motorola (MOT 14.97 +0.87) has significantly reduced component order rates for cableend equipment. Views reduced component orders from MOT as a negative for Broadcom (BRCM 34.84 +1.75),

RESEARCH ALERT-Morgan Stanley cuts Broadcom
NEW YORK, May 30 (Reuters) - Investment bank Morgan Stanley on Wednesday said it cut its revenue and earnings estimates for high-speed communications semiconductor maker Broadcom Corp. (NasdaqNM:BRCM - news), citing slower demand in the marketplace.

Morgan Stanley analyst Mark Edelstone cut his 2001 per share estimate for Broadcom to a loss of 25 cents from a profit of 5 cents, citing challenging near-term conditions for the company that he expects will cause a second quarter sequential revenue decline of 32 percent.

Edelstone also cut his 2002 earnings per share estimate for Broadcom to 25 cents from 60 cents. Morgan Stanley maintains an outperform rating on Broadcom.

Are we being jerked around?
