Like television I think we will see paid and non-paid content... quality content just costs more.
Those are business models that seem to have worked for decades, unlike those content-just-wants-to-be-free-at-any-cost startups that miscalculated and went poof.

I think of the internet as the biggest 'cable network' (with unlimited channels) in the world.

MS has developed the software tools and content alliances to make money flow on the internet on a grand scale.

I'm betting on them.

Why do you think some of us own shares in this company. There's considerable earnings potential at MSFT beyond the staggering levels already achieved.
