Yes, mining is a small piece of DBC.
Their interests in other firms is about $C200M,
but only about 30% is in mining shares (BHK/BWR/RPD)

(my quick attempt at their current portfolio)

These assets are dwarfed by:
Dynamic Mutual Funds (about $C7B under manangement)
and Dundee Securities (about $C7B in customer accounts)

Of course these are small amounts compared to what some US-based firms have under custody/management.
Today's trivia: State Street has $US 5.8 trillion in assets under custody and $US 703 billion under management
