I think dogs should live inside the home with the rest of the family, the pet dog is a family member, I don't care what anyone says.....

I grew up with indoor dogs. They were quite a bit of fun. All eventually ended up overweight and somewhat lazy. Quite possibly due to being fed human food. Kid has PB&J, dog has PB&J. Kid had cookie, dog has cookie.

I know of people who have outdoor dogs. Kept in pens. Exercised regularly. Mostly hunting dogs. These dogs are in top shape. They seem just as, if not more, happy then their indoor counterparts.

As long as I live in the country I will have outdoor dogs.
