Interesting ... so they still answer the phone anyway, eh -g- ... sand and gravel transportation costs - i expect that to be a crucial factor ... the stuff does go for a pretty penny if you have quality sorted material in volume, but a serious player is needed to organise the business and get it to market on a cost-efficient basis, and Venezuela is some distance from say Florida, which could likely use it ... although, once you've loaded a barge it doesn't take all that much to tow it a few more miles .... there's a whole science to figuring out the margins in this, and a prominent trade journal called 'Rock and Dirt' with articles about shaving costs by fractions of cents per yard [edit] - they have a website now it seems - rockanddirt.com ... in spanish too - rdespanol.com ... pretty skimpy though, not as much as in the magasine It has to be a big operation, or not at all ... no half measures ... and this is one tiny company, by any measure ... but i don't regret picking up a few last winter, just playing the odds on them reviving the story ... eventual success with the business plan would be great, and i'll have a few shares left if they ever get to that point, but in the meantime it's a venture capital sort of bottom-fishing 'play the story' cycle thing ... speaking of which, here is a John Kaiser piece in three parts i found in the stockwatch archives - Message 15869077 Message 15869083 Message 15869086 Cadre doesn't look too bad when viewed in those terms, a bit stuck in the germination stage, that's all ... person doesn't want to get into a position where he has to hold his breath on the thing though, lol ... a little waiting doesn't bother me, i've just been picking up some ybr.v which is showing no signs of an imminent moonshot but has the sort of overall attributes that tend to eventually get attention ... i know traders who won't touch a stock unless it trades a million dollars worth a day minimum, this is sort of the other end of the spectrum, lol ... cheers
