Had you included rock n roll, customer service complaints and boas in your search criteria, you might have hit the mark.

Okay, I'll bite. Charlie Ward's a good guy who made an unfortunate comment in these days of political correctness. Stern needs to lighten up, regardless of the opinions of his brethren in the ADL. I'm confident that Charlie is no jew-hater. The ADL serves a good purpose, but religious tolerance demands that we give a little room to those with opposing views. Even if they are irrationally exuberant at times.

I saw an interview with Bobby Bowden once where he was talking about his alumni. He joked that Deion Sanders "insisted" that his number be retired. The subject turned to Charlie Ward, who brought more positive notoriety to Bowden and his team than any player in Bowden's illustrious career. Bowden, emphasizing the type of person Ward is, turned to the interviewer and told him that Charlie wanted to make sure that he thanked Bowden for all Bowden had done in Ward's final season at FSU. This was the season that Charlie was the key to the Seminoles winning the national championship. It was also the season that Ward won the Heisman Trophy. Bowden said, "Can you believe it? He wanted to thank me for that?" Bowden's point was that Charlie was not only a truly outstanding athlete but also an admirable human being. This may not seem like much, but I would suggest that David Stern turn his ire on the Dennis Rodmanites out there and leave Charlie Ward alone.

Jeb Bush, on the other hand, I would never defend.
