To: edward miller who wrote (393 ) 6/6/2001 1:22:20 AM From: Raymond Duray Respond to of 1715 Hi edward, I think you misunderstand me regarding the current administrations culpabilities. I do not blame GWB for A.B. 1890. I blame his peers. You know, the guys like Ken Lay and Jim Donnell, for instance. They had their hand in the cookie jar in a big way in 1996 and they've been working this scam ever since. What pisses me off is that a turkey like Spencer Abrams will stonewall Diane Feinstein on the simple, obvious and honest request that the information about the publicly administered CAISO system be made public knowledge. It is an utter travesty that our Secretary of Energy can't even answer her inquiry in Senate hearings, prefering to totally disingenuously change the subject to some completely irrelevant drivel. What's wrong with this administration is not, as you so wrongly think I've stated, that they caused this problem. No, the problem with the Bushistas is that they so steadfastly support the rape & pillage crowd that filled their campaign coffers at the probable and utterly socially irresponsible cost of sending California into a recession. Sort of a punishment for their electoral college mistake. That's the problem with this administration. It is transparently venal, it is not taking responsibility for the greater good of the general public, it is beholden to special interests, and it is aiming the country in the wrong direction. I hope this helps to clarify what I seem to have stated not quite clearly enough in my prior post to which you refered. Sorry for any misunderstanding regarding the logic of cause and effect. I merely meant to suggest that the response so far from the Bush administration is that it seems that this compassionate conservative wants to impose a "good sweating" on a state that did see its way clear to vote for the "right" party in the last election. I could be wrong about GWB taking things this personally. But I doubt it. Cordially, Ray :)
