I concur - though perhaps I should clarify what I meant when I mentioned the other trader who'd been knocking it out of the park on a daily basis. While many of us may think of a homerun as getting in on one of those parabolic moves that the Nasdaq used to yield, often on seemingly a daily basis, in this market hitting a homerun can amount to trading in large size on a relatively small move. The trader I mentioned uses a "basket" approach, trading market moves by using three to five stocks at once and treating the entire basket as in effect a single position (with selective exceptions). I suppose he could trade the QQQs and possibly achieve a similar effect, and I've also suggested that he consider trading E-Minis or some other vehicle, but he prefers doing things this way - and there are numerous advantages as well as potential disadvantages to it. In any event, today's performance notwithstanding, I can't argue with the results that I've observed.
