I intend to participate in some limited fashion, just to feel participative, on shorting shares and buying puts.

Need ideas!

West - I haven't been doing a lot of trading lately. Went short last Fed meeting and covered quickly afterwards. Been nibbling on the long side with a few breakouts, but no real big positions or big plays. Mostly in cash.

Been using the opportunity to spend less time with the market during the day - thats why I haven't been posting here much - and more writing a history book that I have been working off and on for sometime.

The Vix dropped quick yesterday but is back up a tad today. Think the market is being held up because of the Fed easy money rate cuts. Inflation is on the horizon and so are high interest rates - but for now no one cares. Consensus is the market has bottomed and everyone is afraid to miss out. Think it can stay afloat for another month or two - but it will top out with the VIX at 20 or below. Naz 2552 is the FIBO 1/3 retracement so assume that is what you are looking at there?
