Wayne, I basically agree with you. If they do drive the market though with their recommendations (which is hard to figure given this track record), then when they are most bullish we should be at market tops, since market tops also tend to correspond with the majority of investors being bullish. Likewise for bottoms. It is hard to completely figure this out, but I think the manipulation factor is probably most significant.
