Ahhh yes, the great civil planning problem.

Like Houston, which decided to put in light rail downtown (against the protestations of the citizens, which the City got around by not putting it to a referendum). Now that is all well and good. I don't know anyone who would use it, or the little trolley to the Astrodome. But this marvelous piece of planning is to be put at STREET LEVEL. So not only will it not reduce the number of drivers clogging downtown, but it will ADD to the congestion, as well as creating a safety hazard. Obviously no one has ever heard of an Elevated train in our city government. Oh well. More federal dollars in someone's pocket.
