Allegheny's Ludlum raises prices on some output

PITTSBURGH, June 6 (Reuters) - Allegheny Ludlum said Wednesday it will increase base prices 5 to 8 percent on its 300 series hot-rolled coiled-mill-plate, sheet, and strip products, effective with shipments June 11, to offset
increased energy and manufacturing costs.

The stainless steel producer, a subsidiary of Allegheny Technologies Inc. (NYSE:ATI - news), said all current raw material surcharges in effect at the time of shipment will apply and all grade and size extras remain unchanged
from published price schedules.

This price increase affects less than 5 percent of Allegheny Ludlum sales, the company noted.
