Re: Gustave, I believe that if one accepts the "right of return" of Palestinians to the pre 67 borders, you will establish a dangerous international precedent.

Zeev, I threw that "right of return" bone at you because I know that Zionists can't wait to gnaw at it.... All observers know that the real bone of contention is the sovereignty over East Jerusalem, and not the Palestinians' claim about the refugees. All the Palestinian leaders themselves have publicly declared that all they wanted from Israel was a kind of formal recognition of the brutal expulsion that befell Palestinians from 1947 onwards. However, Palestinian leaders made it clear that such a formal "right of return" protocol may be accomodated so that, in practice, Israel's demographic balance won't be changed.... But that's a point the Zionists will not cry out about, they'd rather use the "right of return" foil as a side show to distract public opinion from the East Jerusalem issue.

Re: No, the establishing a "Right of Return" , will destabilize Europe to such an extent that the Balkan conflicts will look like "Children Play".

Again, like Hawk, you mix border disputes up with displaced populations.... Indeed, there might still be some border litigations here and there --Germany/Poland, Russia/Poland, Turkey/Greece/Cyprus. Yet, Europe doesn't have to deal with large pools of displaced refugees waiting to settle back home, be it in France, Germany, Spain, or wherever.
