Hey! That's not fair! You're using FACTS! You're going to spoil richie's lunch! I have not seen similar figures for the rail system(s) in the SF Bay Area, but I have little doubt it's about the same. BILLYUNS and BILLYUNS for essentially nothing. These guyas don't know that there are financial units less than $1,000,000,000. And that's "system(s)" in this area. First the was CALTRAIN- -it used to be Southern Pacific until they absolutely refused to take the never-ending financial bleed and a transit district was set up to bleed the taxpayers instead. Then a new district was set up for BART. Guess what? BART is COMPLETELY INCOMPATIBLE with CALTRAIN. BART built in a few other things to keep CALTRAIN off its turf. And then came San Jose Light Rail. Again completely incompatible with the two existing systems. Each system has its own stations. They geographic areas are also pretty much distinct (CALTRAIN does run through San Jose, but uses different stations.) So if you need to make a trip form ones area of coverage into the others area, you have to: get to the first ones station, get on its train, ride to the end of the line, take a bus or whatever to the second ones station, get on it, ride to the proper station, then get a bus to where you're really going. There! Wasn't that fast and convenient! And richie wants to essentially FORCE all of us into this mess? Is he trying to destroy the American economy? Or just start a revolution? I gotta post this to him. Maybe the nucklehead will finally understand why the rest of us HAVE NO INTENTION OF TOLERATING HIS FIX!!!
