Ever since selective disclosure ended, all analysts are good for are wallowing in rumor and spreading trading tips. Without the advantage of insider info right from the company, and with non-existent or atrophied analysis skills, they have little else to do. Ironically, their rumors are now more valuable than their previous releases based on selective disclosure. At least they are not being directly manipulated by the companies they cover, so their rumors have a chance of being right.
