Not only that, but LU was considered an LTBH kind of stock by most investors. I read recently that only 1/3 of S&P 500 companies make it in the long run, long run being 10-20 years, the rest fall off and are replaced. That makes LTBH a 33% strategy at best. Of course, when investors say LTBH today they mean hold for 3 months and take your losses.
