<rant>Anyone who hasn't known for at least ten years that smoking causes lung cancer has been burying their head in the sand. We all kid ourselves on different levels on a variety of things, but you've gotta face it like an adult when you run out of places to hide from the truth. This guy is just looking to shift the blame because now the tobacco companies are admitting what was clear for many years, that they were lying about the dangers of smoking.

Should the tobacco companies be liable for hiding the truth? Sure. But let's get real about taking responsibility for ourselves. Just like in stocks, we all bear responsibility for our own actions.

Intersting stat: only 25% of Canadians now smoke, which is not an attempt to compare with any other country but rather with stats in the past. Unfortunately, too many teenagers still start.
