How can you possibly know that without the experience of being sentenced to death? So no one can know or anticipate feelings involved with anything he/she hasn't actually experienced? You must be expressing your own inability to empathize, which could be construed as a serious personality defect. People routinely sign living wills rejecting treatment which would extend their lives. That would presuppose some certainty of how they would feel in a hypothetical situation. I assure you that I fear death less than I would a life of incarceration, and if I knew that my death would benefit others to boot, I am sure of my decision.
