Don't you remember that story about one rich entrepreneur (the name escapes me) when asked how he started out he tells the tale of how he went out and bought a box of apples. Then he went down to the street corner and sold them all one by one. The next day with the money he made he was able to buy two boxes of apples and he sold all of those and then on the third day he went up to his grandfather's office and asked to borrow $100,000, his grandfather agreed and that's how he started his great company.

Meanwhile I started mine with a borrowed $200 enlarger in an unused basement room in the studio of my first real client. He rented it to me free the first month and then I paid him out of the money he owed me for the prints I made for him.

In three years I was billing $100,000 a year and that's how I started my great company (which is now back to just me).
