This little wood duck was way late in developing. What was amazing, Kate, the dog from the Humane Society and killed everything she caught, brought it to me with not a feather out of place. I knew a place where the lake had eutrophied and had a lot of duck's meat weed growing on it. Before Sue wanted horses and the place fenced in I had to get off the tractor and chase the ducks out of the yard to mow. Let me guess, one of your ducks has a dark green head and the other is all brown. The wing speculium is blue trailed by white.
