Some details from WitSoundview note today -

>>We believe EMCORE has started shipping full production units of their parallel optical modules to several
major customers: Our contacts at the module assembly houses in Taiwan have indicated to us that the EMKR
parallel optical modules have been shipped to Cisco Systems, CIENA, and Juniper Networks. This represents a
major milestone for this product line, as these are the higher value-added module products. While the volumes are
just ramping now, we believe customers such as CIENA will quickly integrate these products to address the very
short reach (VSR) markets, which are just emerging to bring the full optical bandwidth closer to the edge. The
product ramp is projected to be quick since these modules are designed into a standard 300-pin MSA card, which
plugs into a chassis quickly.
MOCVD equipment sales remain strong: EMKR is one of the world leaders in MOCVD equipment and backlog
remains very strong. We believe orders for MOCVD reactors are booked through November and they are now
starting to book for December.
