come to think of it, I did say things probably wouldn't get much better for them and that might impact the stocks -- but that was wishful thinking as I was short D for a little while. Problem with stocks is sometimes they continue to rock when companies are well past the top of their game ...

We've seen some pretty soft prices (electrical energy) here for the spring as well -- don't know if it really means anything for the summer, though. I do know that the rain has been good and help to fill some of the hydro projects ... if it keeps raining and stays cool for a couple more weeks, we may not get the huge swings. Just don't know yet ...

The build-out in NG generation will depress prices at some point though. Even at $10/mmBtu nat gas -- a 12,000 HR turbine has a production cost of less than $130 per MWH -- any price above there has to do with a shortage of supply.

Supply could be catching up with demand, but I doubt demand is falling that quickly since peak demands are related mostly to HVAC load ...
