I think russwinter owns some MNP and I'm sure Claude would also have an opinion on it.

I'm sure Madison has a deposit at Mt Kare, but they have been working it for years, need more drill results to get a real resource number, definitely need more money, need higher gold prices, a willing JV partner (not forced JV with Placer at Porgera), and support from the PNG government. I'm not saying it is not possible, but it isn't likely in the current environment which explains the 12 cent stock price. It might even be worth a shot if you have extra cash and a lot of patience.

As suggested in this post and others on the MNP thread:
Message 15724883

IMO MNP's challenge is lack of capital to finish up what is likely an elephant. They should find a strong JV partner, rather than dilute with PP's. It's also a question of timing for PDG who will need to get involved in Mt.Kare if they expect to keep Porgera next door strong. This is one project that I don't think 270 POG kills. They need to find more supergene material, but Mt. Kare will be economical.
