I was talking about the last GE split which was a 3:1 last year - that's what brought the shares outstanding to the whopping 10 Billion. They often run a stock up and split ahead of a favored CEO's retirement. Note the last year's insider selling at GE: biz.yahoo.com Notice how Intel did after the Andy Grove retirement party. ADPT is another great example. Anyone feel free to add in here.

I compared them to LU because they both were similarly widely held/popular, and had about the same # shares out last year. I see that LU didn't have to do a 3:1 split to make their shares "more affordable" for purchase -g- Also pointing out that the most widely held darlings can still indeed revert to book value.
