Thanks. But a couple of caveats:

1. The effect was particularly strong over the period I showed. Some weeks it's much, much weaker.

2. There's a little bit of cheating here, because there are a couple of stocks that are in both the DOW and the DRG index. (So some of the coincident small blips in both charts happen when say MRK moves). To do this properly I'd really need to recreate the indices excluding the stocks common to both. Further, there are some biotechs in the NAS 100, which is often used as a trading proxy for the NASD.

But bottom line is that fairly often the BTK moves are reflective of broader market action and have nothing to do with biotech itself.
