There already is a cure for that.

When I was in the Army, I was 19 and I could drink beer on base....even if it was 3.2 beer......so the drinking argument could be solved by saying that if you join the military... you can drink....almost.

What is magical about a single age of majority? It seems highly logical for me that the voting age be 18 but the drinking age be 21.

Re: "There should be some consistency": Why is this necessary? Different drinking ages have come about because individual states have made individual decisions. I thought you were a states' rights advocate.
