Art, that makes good sense. . .
Perhaps it would be a good idea for Edison to interrogate their data bases to find out the major users of power and when their highest Demand hits by grid groups, then suggest schedule changes that could possibly spread-out the demand to remove the peaks?

I remember way back when, we had special monitoring equipment and software to monitor and determine our peak periods and control the turning-on of certain equipment to level-out the demand peak. . . By doing so, we reduced our demand peak which was a very important factor in calculating our power costs.

Maybe that practice is not in use as much as it used to be. . .
It was also expensive but, to the larger company, it saved money.

Perhaps Edison could help by providing companies with possible schedule changes to help with the Peak Demand problem. . .??

Good information!

Thank you,
Joe
