actually hammers were supposed to sample by the end of the year but .13 production supposed to start by the end of the year. Yes, but not 0.13 micron with SOI... 0.13 micron sans SOI production will start ramping at the end of the year. That only puts them 6 months behind Intel...

Albert, <.13 production supposed to start by the end of the year> Pretty ambiguous words coming from AMD. Does that mean the first 0.13u product from AMD will actually be released by the end of the year, or will AMD merely start samples, or will AMD start production of the 0.13u product in Q4 to support a Q1 release of that product? Had an Intel representative used the same words, I don't think you'd give that person the benefit of the doubt. Tenchusatsu
